Standing Order Payments by Instalment
In
order to help members spread expenses through the year, we have
implemented a new scheme for payment of subscriptions by instalment -
including arrears of up to two years. We offer members the chance to
pay their subscriptions by quarterly or monthly standing order, with a
schedule of payments to suit, based on the subscription year which runs
from March to end February.
Standing Order Forms
Download standing order instruction form here; complete the form and return it to your bank branch. You must also complete the remitance notice form and return it to us by post to: The
Treasurer, IAI,
63 Merrion Square, Dublin
2. This will allow us to confirm that the standing order is in place and update your membership record appropriately.
We will also accept payment of subscription arrears by standing order, members wishing to avail of this service can contact the treasurer at info@iai.ie or 01 6629517 in order to arrange the most suitable payment schedule.
Electronic Transfer
Members with online banking facilities may wish to pay their subscriptions by direct electronic transfer. The banking information on the Standing Order Form will allow you to do this (please refer to your own bank for specific instructions on how to do this). Members who choose to do this should ensure that their payments are clearly tagged with their name and should email the Institute to confirm the payment.IAI Forum
At the IAI meeting held in University College Dublin on 26th June 2004, the IAI Board was tasked with establishing a means of improving communication and the dissemination of information and ideas between the members. As a direct result of the discussions held at that meeting, the IAI Forum was established. This is an internet-based forum or discussion group open to all current members of IAI. There is no charge for subscribing. Messages posted to the IAI Forum should relate to Irish archaeology, general archaeological theory and practice or topics and issues concerning IAI. This is a fully moderated discussion list.As Irish archaeologists (and those working in related fields) await to see how the recent changes in legislation will impact on the profession, and a number of sensitive cases regarding the impact of development on well-known archaeological sites and landscapes are currently ongoing, it is even more imperative that IAI members engage with one another. The IAI membership asked for this facility. However, in order for the IAI Forum to be of significant benefit to either the IAI or its membership, we need as many people as possible to sign up and get actively engaged in discussion on the crucial issues affecting Irish archaeology.
If you are a member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland in good standing (that is, fully paid up) and would like to join the IAI Forum, please contact Teresa Bolger at ephemerae[AT]warpmail[DOT]net for more details.
Members who are registered with Yahoo groups can directly request a subscription from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IAI_Forum Please note that membership status will be confirmed with Institute records when a request for subscription to the IAI Forum is received.
